Hello lovelies!

I’m back with a second post for you guys, because it’s day 5 of the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge!

Onto the nails!

Here’s what I used:

blue-red-candle-vintage-wrapping-paper-nail-art-bottle-shotYet again another non-traditional, colored holiday manicure…whoops haha. I really don’t like red and green together, so I think my mind is subconsciously picking patterns that don’t have that color combination in it. Hopefully you guys are cool with it, because I don’t see things changing much over here haha 🙈

  1. Start with two coats of Oceane (which likes to stain, so double up on basecoat! I had it on for two hours and it left me some lovely blue splotches >.<)
  2. Using the acrylic paint and detail brush paint on the design. I started by laying down the white boxes and once that was dry, I added red over them. Once the red was down, I went back in with the white and painted on the candles.
  3. Clean up.
  4. Add a layer of Glossy Glam.

The inspiration for these nails was this vintage wrapping paper from the 1950s? I’m a little mad at myself for discovering that Etsy shop, because now I want to buy all the vintage paper….not really sure what I would do with it but it’d look nice sitting in my forever growing pile of art supplies. Anywho, I want to know what you guys think of this look! Let me know below! 😀
