Hello lovelies! Surprise Sunday post! Kind of. I warned you guys yesterday that I might have a post up today, but I wasn’t expecting it to be going up this late haha. Whoops. Anyways, the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge called for some work appropriate nails on Friday, so here’s my attempt!
Here’s what I used:
I think these nails are work appropriate? Maybe? We have a “loose” dress code at work, and I’m required to dress up professionally for six months out of the year. But, I’ve shockingly never gotten in trouble for wearing crazy, bold nail art (I actually remember my boss complimented my nails the first time I wore neon polish to the office haha.) So, work appropriate polish isn’t something that I really pay attention to. But, I thought I’d play it on the safer side for this post because I know not everyone else is so lucky at their jobs.
- Start by applying two coats of Nala.
- Then using saran wrap, dab a little bit of Sparks over that.
- Place the studs on with some topcoat.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
So to me, neutrals are perfect for a work appropriate manicure! I had to pick polishes that have some sparkle in them, because I can’t stand wearing plain creams for a long period of time. But, the glitter and shimmer in these polishes are subtle enough, that I think most people could get away with wearing this look in an office with stricter rules. This look was too subdued for my tastes. But, Nala is a gorgeous polish and I’m so happy that I finally got around to wearing it! Anyways, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts though!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Don’t forget to check back tomorrow, because I’ll have some more nail art to share!
