Good morning lovelies! Do you guys have anything fun planned for today? My day will be spent painting my nails and working on the blog, so I’m stoked haha. It’s absolutely freezing here where I live, so I have no problem with taking a day inside cozied up in my pajamas. Lazy Sundays are the best anyways. But, moving on. This month The Nail Challenge Collaborative is tackling winter nails, so I hope you’re ready for sweater weather!
Here is what I used:
Now, to be honest I’m already over this theme. Meh. Maybe I’m a debbie downer, but all last month was spent posting winter themed nail art and I’m ready to move past it. I don’t want to be a complete grump and skip out though, so I did some SheIn sweater inspired nails for my first look.
- Start by applying three coats of Taking The Hobbits To Isengard.
- Then using a dotting tool and Ray, add on the polka dots.
- Once that is dry, use the dry brush technique and a fluffy brush to add on the shimmery gradient with These I Like and acrylic paint.
- Top that with a little bit of Make A Spectacle.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
So, yeah! Sweater nails. This definitely isn’t one of my better looks, but I like the idea of these nails. Unfortunately, the Lucky 13 Lacquer has gotten incredibly thick and gloopy which threw me off. I tried adding thinner, but it would only help for a nail or two and then it would go back to being difficult. It’s a bummer, because this used to be my favorite indie brand back when I started the blog. So, I own a ton of her polishes but now I’m nervous to see how the rest of them have held up. Anyways, leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! We had a bunch of new ladies join the group recently, so make sure to check out the inLinkz below and show them some love<3
