Oh hi. Again. Whose ready for some more rambling?! This post will *hopefully* be on the shorter side, because it’s starting to get late and I definitely need to get some sleep. It’s probably not a good idea to already be exhausted by Tuesday but…MOVING IN! Today is January 31st which means that it’s my last chance to squeeze in another manicure for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. It’s been a while since I’ve done four manicures for a theme, so I was determined to accomplish it this month. This time it’s all about some winter-y confetti!
Here is what I used:
How many of you are staring at these nails thinking, “What the heck? What does confetti have to do with winter?” To answer your question, nothing. Unless you have a birthday in the winter, then I guess you might encounter confetti in your winter activities. But I came across this adorable bobble hat on JOY.com and thought that it would make for some fun nail art! Now I feel like I need to buy the hat just so I can match my nails to it…someone take away PayPal. STAT!
- Start by applying two coats of Chicago, Chicago.
- Then add a layer of Ragdoll over top.
- Once the base is dry, using acrylic paint and a detail brush add on the little confetti pieces.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of the Ultra Suede Matte Top Coat.
I’ve been knocking out quite a few untried polishes lately, and this manicure is no exception. Chicago, Chicago (from last year’s Polish Con VIP bag) is my one and only polish from Color By Llarowe. The formula was really lovely and I’m loving how it looks here, so I can see myself possibly picking up some more from this brand in the future. If you guys have a favorite from the brand, make sure to let me know in the comments. Don’t forget to let me know what you think of the nail art too!
Thank you guys so much for reading! See you back here tomorrow for more nail art 😛
