Hello again lovelies! I’m trying really hard to get myself back into a consistent blogging schedule, so you guys get two posts today! This time around it’s for the ABC Challenge. Can you guys believe that we’re already almost at the end of the alphabet? Granted, I did miss about half of the challenge due to my blogging break, but I can’t believe it’s almost over! Weren’t we just at the letter A last week? Anyways, let’s get to some vector nail art!
Here’s what I used:
Now, you guys are probably like, “What the heck, Marisa. What the hell is vector nail art?!” According to Google, a vector is “denoting a type of graphical representation using straight lines to construct the outlines of objects.” Basically, it’s a shape made in design that isn’t made up pixels so it can be sized up and down without losing quality (at least that’s what I know it as.) Now, what does that have to do with nail art? Absolutely nothing. I just needed another word that started with the letter V. Please don’t hate me! The inspiration for this design came from this set of patterns from Free Goodies For Designers.
- Start by applying three coats of Lit Ladies Dancing.
- Then using the dry brush technique, dab on a little bit of Radiance.
- Once the base has been able to dry a little bit, use a detail brush and acrylic paint to add on the blobs.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
And that’s a wrap! I feel like over the past couple of months my “taste” in nail art and colors has been changing from bright, glittery looks to more neutral, shimmery looks. But this look is something that I would rocked a while back with no questions asked. I did really like wearing these, but I think I’m out growing my “glitter all the things” phase. Maybe? That could be a total lie, but we’ll just have to see what I gravitate towards more in the future. Until then, let me know what you guys think!
Thank you guys so much reading!
