Oh hi, again! Gah, I finally got around to writing that second blog post that I mentioned earlier. If you didn’t see my post yesterday, the Digit-al Dozen group is doing a throwback theme this month. So, I decided to throw-it-back to old themes that the group did, but recreate nail art that the other bloggers did! With that being said, do you guys think you can guess who inspired this look?
Here is what I used:
Were any of you guys able to guess correctly? Yes, no, maybe? If not, I recreated a look done by Tamara of the Canadian Nail Fanatic! She’s a stamping master, and I’ll admit that I was super nervous to even attempt one of her looks. But, I remembered these watercolor florals from our art theme in March and knew that I had to at least try to do them justice.
- Start by applying two coats of Eyes White Open.
- Add a layer of Hay Girl Hay! over top.
- Once that’s dry, use a brush dipped in acetone to dab on a little of Such A Vlad-Ass.
- Repeat with Don’t Leaf Me This Way.
- Then use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the floral design.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glitter Glaze.
And, that’s a wrap on another throwback! My free hand attempt does not do Tamara’s original look justice, but I like how these turned out. It’s been a while since I’ve done the watercolor technique, but this reminded me how much I like doing it! I’ve recently acquired some new indie creme polishes, so I’ll have to experiment with them soon. Anyways, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! I’ll see you all back here tomorrow for some more nail art!
