Good evening lovelies! Dang, it is late. Today totally got away from me, but I’m here now because it’s the start of another Digit-al Dozen week! This time we are doing “throwback” nails and I did not prepare for this. So, hopefully I can get it together and finish on time haha. Someone else in the group mentioned recreating nail art done by the other girls from past themes. I thought that sounded fun so that’s my game plan (aka I’m unoriginal so thanks to the other ladies for coming up with ideas haha!) Who do you guys think I recreated first?
Here is what I used:
Were you guys able to figure it out? If not, this first look is my take on one of Kerry’s (from Painted Fingertips,) manicures from our paper week! More specifically this one that was inspired by her wedding! Make sure to give her a follow while you’re over there visiting! 😛
- Start by apply three coats of Before The Storm.
- Add a thin layer of Ancient Affairs over top.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the flowers.
- Clean up.
- Apply a layer of Glossy Glam.
- Place the rhinestones (received as a gift) into the wet topcoat (use nail glue if you want the rhinestones to last.)
Why did I chose this manicure? Because florals, that’s why! Plus, I fell in love with the color combination that Kerry used. I wouldn’t think to pair teal and grey, but they work really well together! I’ll definitely be recreating this in the future, because this pattern will look awesome in a ton of different color combinations. But, make sure to let me know what you guys think!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Make sure to visit the other ladies down below and don’t forget to stop back tomorrow for another throwback. Good night!
