So, I’m breaking one of my own self-imposed rules of blogging but I’m writing 3 posts for today. The Nail Art Guild is posting today on Instagram and the theme is Country Pride which gave me enough time to plan ahead and actually do a holiday manicure. Today is July 4th so I did nails for it! I’ll be spending my 4th at work but that’s typical.
Anywho, onto the nails!
Honestly, if it wasn’t for a challenge calling for July 4th related nails I probably would have forgotten like 95% of the other holidays. Whoops!
I found this cool looking plate, at least I think it’s a plate, and used that as my inspiration for these nails! I started with 2 coats of White On and a layer of topcoat. I then used Natty to free hand on blue wavy shapes and used Gogo Girl for the red stripes. The stars were added with acrylic paint and a detail brush followed by another layer of topcoat!
I can’t say that I would really wear these nails in public but I do like these! I’m not really one to wear “holiday” themed nails, I think the only holiday that I did special nails for was Christmas….I’m weird, it’s alright.
Make sure to check out the hashtags #thenailartguild and #TNAGpatriotic to see what everyone else did!
Here’s a third song for today!
