Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! Possibly? Does anyone actually enjoy Sundays? To me it just means we’re one day closer to having to wake up early and acting like a proper adult. Which, by the way, is not always fun. But, I’m not sure where I’m really going with this. So, nail polish. This week the Nail Crazies Unite group is sharing our sweets manicures, and here is my take on it!
Here is what I used:
Last Monday was the first day of Spring (even if it doesn’t look like it here in New York,) but it has me in the mood to start pulling out my softer colored polishes! I’m super excited about it, because it means that I can pull out all of my pastel polishes that have been sitting in my helmers collecting dust for a while. Anyways, these adorable, little crocheted candies from Revelry were the inspiration for this look!
- Start by applying three coats of Laugh Myself Lily.
- Then add a layer of She’s Snowflakey on top.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the sweets pattern.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
Aren’t these so cute, guys? I’m just excited about how the base turned out, but the overall look of these is really pretty. I was nervous about picking colors for the candies, but I’m glad I kept them black and white. Using darker colors for the candies kept them from getting lost in all of the glitter. But, I’m curious about what you guys think! Make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts.
