Hello lovelies! How is your day going so far? I ended up staying home from work to try because I wasn’t feeling well still, but I feel a little better right now. So, that means blog posts because I can write them in bed *insert that little woot hands emoji*! I still have plenty of holiday nail art to share with you guys, so prepare yourselves for that. This post will focus on stars though, so let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
Boom! Semi, kind of, holiday looking nails! When I was getting ready to paint these nails, I wanted to do something other than just painting a bunch of stars on my nails. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I just feel like I’ve done it over and over again and wanted to do something different. So, when I came across these ornaments from the blog, Northstory, I knew I wanted to try painting them on my nails.
- Start by applying two (or three?) coats of Carry On.
- Then using acrylic paint and a detail brush, paint on the star ornaments.
- Once those are dry, use the dry brush technique to add a little bit of Silver Nickels around them.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
So, what do you guys think? These aren’t super, in-your-face holiday nails but I’m enjoying the subtleness of them. Overall, I would probably give them a meh. I like them, but am not crazy about them at the same time. Have you guys ever felt that way about some nail art that you did? Not everything can be a knock your socks off manicure, and I like showing you guys *most* of what I paint (including the fails.) So, let me know down below what you think!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Make sure to check back later for more nail art!
