Hello lovelies and happy Saturday! How is everyone’s weekend going ? Mine so far has consisted of cleaning, working from home and some blogging stuff, but it’s actually been fairly enjoyable. I am so determined to get ahead on blogging stuff for this week, it’s not even funny. There’s most likely going to be quite a few late nights at work over the next couple of weeks, so the further I can get ahead the better. But, anyways. Back to nail polish. The last theme for the Challenge Your Nail Art February challenge was a skittles manicure, so here is my take on it!
Here is what I used:
Are you guys a fan of skittles manicures? I’m usually not that into them, because it bothers me when every nail looks different. But, I’m really digging these nails! I think as long as I keep the design similar across all of my nails and just switch out the base colors, the skittles look is tolerable. This particular one was inspired by this set of fabrics by Eri Shimatsuka!
- Start by applying two to three coats of your base colors.
- Once those are dry, using acrylic paint and a detail brush add on the pattern. I started by adding on the polka dots first and then painting the little gumdrop shapes over top.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
So, what do you guys think? I said it above, but I really loved these nails! They got a pretty good reaction at work too, which is always great haha. But, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts because I’d love to hear your opinion!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Don’t forget to check back later for some more nail art!
