Hello lovelies! Wow, it feels like it’s been a week since my last post…even though it was only shared on Monday. So, yeah, that’s how my week is going haha. I woke up this morning thinking it had to be at least Thursday, but nope, it’s only Wednesday. Blah. There is an upside to that though, and it is that it’s time for another Sally Hansen Insta-Dri nail art look! This time I’ll be showing off Silver Stallion, so let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
How do you guys feel about metallic polishes? I’ll be honest, that I’m not the biggest fan of them. They remind me of what I used to wear in middle and high school, and I’m not really trying to go re-live those days, so Silver Stallion wasn’t one of the polishes that caught my eye. The formula was fairly easy to work with and it dried quickly, but it did have a tendency to leave brushstrokes. So, while I’m not wowed by this one, if you’re looking for a metallic, silver polish then this might be a good option to check out! Plus, I have a feeling that this might stamp well (but I can’t stamp to save my life so yeah. I don’t know haha.)
- Start by applying two coats of Silver Stallion.
- Once that’s dry, paint on the stars using black acrylic paint and a detail brush.
- Go back over the stars with a little bit of Fairy Dust.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glitter Glaze.
This is another post where I got halfway through writing it and then walked away for a few hours….dang it! So, I don’t remember where I was going with all of the rambling above, but I do know that this photo from my favorite YouTuber, Qcknd, inspired this look! Aren’t those socks so cute?! The second I saw that photo, I knew I wanted to paint star nails and Silver Stallion was a great base for it! So, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so much for reading! I’ll see you back here later in the week for more nail art fun!
