Happy Saturday lovelies! How is the weather where you live? It’s currently 7 degrees here in New York, but with the wind chill it apparently feels like -12 degrees. So, since I haven’t left my apartment today, I thought that I would write up a post! Yesterday, the ladies participating in the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge shared some beautiful, metallic nail art and here I am with mine. Let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
This week’s prompt for the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge called for a metallic polish plus one color. Which, I may have cheated a bit and used two…but I mean technically it’s the same color, just two shades of it. My metallic is a bit on the shimmery side too. But…I’m counting it haha! My inspiration for the star design was this pattern by Herbert Green.
- Start by applying one coat of Love.Angel.Music.Baby. (Two coats is probably best, but my bottle is so old that one coat did the job haha.)
- Then using the dry brush technique, add on a little bit of Ling.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the stars.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glitter Glaze.
And, that’s a wrap! This look kind of surprised me. I wasn’t thrilled with it when I finished painting it, but after wearing it for a few days I was really into it! What do you guys think? What colors would you have paired together? Also, random, but I’m trying to make some minor changes to the blog and I’m curious of what you guys think of the new feature photo above. Before, I was using the paint swatches with the challenge name on them but I’m kind of over it. So, leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and make sure to check back here on Monday for more fun! Also, stay warm if it’s cold where you live!
