Oh hello again! How has your day been treating you? I’m starting to go a little stir crazy sitting in my apartment, but it gives me time to write another blog post for you guys! Plus, it’s Twinsie Tuesday and I had to participate this time since I feel bad about missing our last post. So, yeah! St. Patrick’s day is almost here which means that it’s time to break out all of the green polish. Onto the nails!
Here is what I used:
Green nail polish is just not something that I reach for often, but I don’t really know why. I have two helmer drawers (one with indie polish and one with mainstream brands) full of it, and yet they really ever see the light of day. Do you guys have a color in your collection like that? One that you just keep buying and yet never wear? Anyways, these nails were inspired by this fabric by Heather Dutton!
- Start by applying two coats of Forest Of The Dead.
- Then apply liquid latex around your nails.
- Using the smoosh technique, add on Misty Day, Slitherin’ and Grunge.
- Peel off the latex / clean up.
- Paint the art on using a detail brush and acrylic paint.
- Clean up again if necessary.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
And that’s a wrap! So, this look doesn’t necessarily scream St. Patrick’s day, but I mean they are green. That has to count for something though, right? But moving on, I’m digging this look! The polishes in the smoosh base all played so well together, so I love how that turned out. I just wish that I had painted the pattern in white. The green lines get lost over the base, but oh well. So, don’t forget to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Please take a minute to visit the ladies down below, and remember to stop by here tomorrow for even more more nail art!
