Hello again, lovelies! I’m back with that second floral nail art that I promised earlier. I know you guys were waiting with bated breath! Also, I have no idea why that expression popped into my head but I’m running with it. This post is really fun for me, because I recreated a design from a blogger that I really, really, REALLY like! AND. I “stamped” without actually stamping. Keep on reading to find out how 😛
Here is what I used:
Were you guys able to guess who the blogger is? If not, it’s Katherine from ProcrastiNails! She is the creator behind the 30 Days Of Colour Challenge, so it only made sense that I recreate one of her designs. Plus, her nail art always looks so fun and she’s seriously one of the sweetest people. This lace-y, floral stamping design caught my eye, and I knew that it needed to be on my nails!
- Start by applying three coats of City Snowfall.
- Then using the dry brush technique, add on Wild And Sweet and Cable Knit Sweater.
- Once the base dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the lace design.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Adele’s Ultra Suede Matte Top Coat.
Now, you guys are probably wondering how I stamped without actually stamping. Right? Well, yeah, I really just freehanded the design. I’ve never attempted to recreate a stamping plate before, but it was a fun challenge! My lines are a bit thicker than the original stamp, but I’m really happy with how these turned out. The color combination is lovely, and I can’t wait to use it again in the future. So let me know what you guys think in the comments, and go say hello to Katherine!
Thank you guys so much for reading! Have a wonderful day, but make sure to be back tomorrow for more nail art (:
