Hello lovelies! Happy Tuesday? Maybe? I can’t believe that it’s already Tuesday evening, not that I’m really complaining. But, wow haha. I feel like I’m falling a little bit behind with all of my blogging stuff already, so hopefully I can catch up again because I want to complete this Digit-al Dozen week on time. With that being said, let’s get to some more rainforest nails!
Here is what I used:
This will probably be the weirdest design that you see from me all week, but the inspiration is pretty cool so bear with me! I came across this print by Sophie Munns, and thought it was really neat looking so I saved it to my pattern inspiration board. Turns out after doing a little research that all of those little symbols are inspired by the cross sections of seeds that came from fruit in the Queensland rainforest. (Disclaimer: that’s my interpretation of what I’ve read.) So, boom! It fits the theme! Also, her whole website is filled with tons of these kinds of works, so I highly recommend checking it out.
- Start by applying two coats of Jace.
- Then add on the other colors by brushing most of the polish off of the original brush, and dabbing the end of it on your nail. You do want to be a little careful so that you don’t dent the base color.
- Once the base is dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the designs.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
Now, back to the nails. I’m pretty stoked with how these came out! The base turned out so cool, and I can not wait to experiment more with this technique in the future. The symbols are a little shaky, but it happens so I’m not going to bum over it. Make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts though!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Make sure to give the ladies down below a visit. Everyone’s rainforest designs are coming out so cool!
