Hello and happy Wednesday lovelies! Is anyone else out there supposed to be having ridiculously hot weather today? It’s supposed to be 90 degrees today, and I am not looking forward to it haha. My apartment doesn’t have air conditioning, so it basically turns into a little sauna. Which actually leads me into today’s nail art! The Digit-al Dozen group is still tackling rainforest nails, and my look for today got a little tropical. So, let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
These nails are probably leaning a little more towards tropical beach, but this image (that I believe is by Lilly Pulitzer) popped up when I was searching for rainforest prints. So, I’m going to run with it haha! I mean who can argue against wearing some bright nails on such a hot day like today?
- Start three coats of Ellie.
- Dry brush on a little bit of Disco Ball.
- Once that’s dry, paint on the leaves using the other polishes watered down with a little bit of acetone and a detail brush.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
So, what do you guys think? At first, I wasn’t super into this look but seeing these photos now is changing my mind! Abstract designs are difficult for me, because I prefer geometric patterns with bold lines and shapes but I can get down with these. Sarah from 25 Sweetpeas is the absolute queen when it comes to nail art like this. So, make sure to go give her a visit if this kind of nail art interests you! Anyways, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts.
Thank you guys so much for reading! As usual, don’t forget to check out the lovely ladies below to see what they came up with!
