Hello lovelies! Hopefully your Monday has been treating you kindly. Today has definitely been one of those “case of the Monday’s” type of days, so I thought I’d take a little bit of time for myself and write up a blog post. Plus, it’s time for another Digit-al Dozen week! I’ve fallen behind on the last couple of these, but I’m really hoping that I’ll be able to get it together this week and post on time. Anyways, we’re tackling the rainforest theme this time around so let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
For whatever reason, this prompt really threw me for a loop. You would think it would be kind of easy to find rainforest-y inspiration, but I was struggling to scrap five manicures together. Luckily, I came across this pattern by Linnéa Teljas Puranen because it was perfect for the theme!
- Start by applying two coats of Natty.
- Then using the dry brush technique, add on Yves.
- Once the base is dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the pattern. I found it easiest to paint the white animals on first, then fill in the remaining space with leaves.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
And that’s a wrap! My animals turned out so wonky looking haha! I had such high hopes after painting the toucan, but sadly the rest of them turned out strangely. Blah. Anyways! I am really digging how the leaves look over the blue polish though, so I’ll have to keep that in mind for a future manicure. Make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Make sure to check out the other ladies below for more rainforest inspired nail art!
