I’m just going to warn you guys now that there are going to be a lot of blog posts this month. It would probably be easier to sit out on the other challenges that I take part in or to try combining different themes into one manicure….but yeah, no, we’re going to be POLISHING ALL OF THE NAILS this month (see what I did there?)
Anywho, onto the nails!
Here’s what I used:
This is actually another late post for Nail Polish Society‘s ABC Challenge (as usual.) Last week we tackled the letter “Q” and the only thing I could think of was quail eggs. Why? I literally have no idea. Food Network makes you do weird things, man…
- Start with two (or three, I forgot…) coats of All I Need Is A Little Of Your Time.
- Then mix a little bit of Nyssa with acetone (yeah, I know, this is a no no, but oh well) and dab it on your nails with a brush.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the bigger brown splotches.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
Despite the inspiration coming from an odd place, I’m actually kind of digging this look! The flakies in the base polish are just stunning and these neutral shades are making me wish Fall would get here already. I want to know what you guys would have painted for the letter “Q” though, so let me down in the comments!
Thanks for reading guys!
P.S.- The ABC Challenge will be taking a hiatus during the 31 Day Challenge.
