I never got around to sharing the last of my punk rock manicures for last month’s The Nail Challenge Collaborative theme, so I figured I’d show you guys now!
Let’s get to the polish!
Here’s what I used:
Now, these nails I like! Again, I think I hit more on the “glam” side of punk rock but look at how badass that skull looks with the studs! I wish I could get away with wearing these to work, because I would totally rock these again for a few days (or until the charm falls off….which would probably only be about an hour or two, but I’d try haha.) Anywho, the design was inspired by this photo!
- Start with two coats of A.C. Slater.
- For the star nails, paint the shapes with white acrylic paint and a detail brush first. Then go over that with the gold paint.
- For the studs and skull, blob some topcoat onto your nail and place the 3D elements into the wet polish.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
This look was a definitely win for me! I’m really starting to love grey and gold together, and the extra sparkle from A.C. Slater definitely gave these nails a little oomph. But let me know what you guys think! Too glamm-y or just punk enough?
Thanks for reading guys!
