Oh hey lovelies!

Happy Wednesday (aka Blogger Takeover day!) This time around the lovely Katherine from ProcrastiNails will be taking over and sharing her nails with you guys! Her nail art is always so wonderful looking and I love her swatches, so I’m really excited to have her on the blog. I’ll let you guys get to the nails though, because they’re freaking gorgeous! 😛

Hello hello! I’m so excited to be able to share my nails with you today for Marisa’s Blogger Takeover series. 🙂 I’m Katherine from ProcrastiNails and when Marisa reached out to see if I would be interested I knew I couldn’t (and wouldn’t!) say no. Today I’m sharing a post that’s pretty exciting for me… My first fully successful water marble! Hooray!

I started off with a base of OPI 50 Years of Style (which is my second-favourite gold of all time) and then filled a plastic shot glass (so I can just throw it out after) with lukewarm water and used a fine point dotting tool to make a marble with 50 Years of Style, Sinful Colors Black on Black, and Revlon Super-Powered. The whole thing is sealed with a coat of Seche Vite which really highlighted the shimmer.

I adore how the pink flakies in Super-Powered show up in the close-up!

I’m so pumped I finally got a water marble to work, and as soon as I finish typing I’m actually going to head back to my nail area to see if I can do it again (to make sure it wasn’t a one-time thing, which would make me very sad!). This post is the result of 3 years of attempts, so I’m proud to be able to share it with you today. 🙂

Have a great day! Thanks for checking me out, and thanks Marisa for letting me share on your blog! xx

  • Yay for watermable! It’s a tough one but worth it and I love the colors!

  • O.o sooooo gorgeous!

  • So glad you got it to work for you! Metallic water marbles are amazing.

  • I love those colours together!

  • Nichole C

this is a beautiful marble. It almost has an Art Deco vibe.

  • Cheyenne

I love the colors used! I never have much success with darker colored marbles! I love this!

  • Arathael

This is really stunning! Such a neat combo of colors.

First time I tried watermarble I got lucky and it worked fine. After that, no success. Tried again recently and my first attempt (to pick up on plastic) technically worked, and after that, fail fail fail. Couldn’t even get a real decent pattern, seemed to dry too fast, or I’m doing something else wrong..so many variables. I need to watch some tutorials again so I can just feel crappy about the whole thing, lol!

  • These turned out so great! I’m still on watermarble strike lol

  • These nails are so pretty! I’m terrible at water marble nails so when I see others do them so well, I’m jealous. I like that there not in creme colors too but more of a metallic looking finish.
