Hello lovelies! How has everyone’s weekend been? I built my first (or at least I think it was my first) gingerbread house this weekend. And holy crap, guys. Why is it so hard to make the stupid thing stand up?! I’m happy with how mine turned out, but it was definitely a little touch and go for a bit haha. I also did a ton of Christmas shopping! I have yet to wrap anything, but I’m super excited to give everyone their presents. Which is exactly what today’s nail art is all about! See what I did there? 😛
Here is what I used:
So many presents! This print that is linking to a tinywhitedaisies tumblr (which I don’t think is the original source,) is what inspired these nails. I loved the color scheme with the lighter green boxes against the bright red, and decided to run with it! Aren’t the little bows so cute, too?!
- Start by applying two (or three) coats of Bambi’s Revenge.
- Add a layer of Not Your Mama’s Cranberry Sauce on top.
- Once the base is try, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the presents.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
So, what do you guys think? Geometric, grid like patterns like this are some of my favorites to wear. There is something so satisfying about all of the little elements lining up neatly in rows. I don’t know, I’m weird haha. But, I’m also super stoked on how the base turned out! The little gold glitters in Not Your Mama’s Cranberry Sauce play so well with the shimmer in Bambi’s Revenge. I could see myself just rocking that combination for the holidays. Leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Make sure to check back later for some more nail art!
