Hello lovelies! Can you guys believe that November is already over? This year seriously flew by so fast! I had the realization today that I have my one year work anniversary coming up in a few weeks. It feels like I was just posting about my new job yesterday haha. Time is so weird. Anyways, I still have two looks for ready for the Nail Challenge Collaborative’s polka dots theme. So, let’s get to the nails!
Here is what I used:
Ya know, looking at these now, I think I’ve posted this exact same look on the blog before. Whoops. Except I can’t find the post, so maybe I made that up. Moving on! Inspiration came from this print by Maiko Nagao. The pattern uses a neon yellow at the bottom, but I was feeling purple when I painted these.
Also, random question. Does anyone else own Charisma and has yours changed colors? Here it looks super pink but in this post from 2015, it looks purple. I know that I’ve had this problem with some neon purple indies, but I feel like Zoya would have more resources to create one that wouldn’t change colors like this…
- Start by applying three coats of These I Like.
- Then using a detail brush and acrylic paint, add on the random dot pattern.
- Once those are dry, use the distressed brush technique to add Charisma onto the tips of your nails.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
Regardless of weird color shifts, I really loved this look! Random polka dots like this are my favorite way to rock them, and the distressed tips had a fun twist. The pink shimmer in These I Like plays well with the neon too. Make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys for reading!
