Good morning lovelies! We’re only two days into this week, but I’m still feeling pretty good about it! My blogging schedule is finally back to a manageable load and I have some fun projects to do at work, so I’m happy. Hopefully yours is treating you well too! If not, maybe me trying to pull off a pink manicure will give you a laugh? Let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
I am so on the fence with this manicure haha. On one hand (yeah, I went there,) I love Poison Rose. Obviously. It’s from Tonic Nail Polish, so that’s kind of a no-brainer but the shade of pink is beautiful. The dustiness of the shade makes the color wearable without it leaning overly, in your face girly. But on the other hand, the manicure is still pink and I’m stubborn. So therefore, I kind of have to not like it. And this entire paragraph has been nothing but a first world problem rant. But, at least I call myself on my own crap!
- Start by applying two coats of Poison Rose.
- Then using the dry brush technique, add on Nana and Amygdala (press sample.)
- Once the base is dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the red design.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
Regardless of my “life crisis” over liking a pink manicure, the inspiration for this design came from this dress designed by Marni. The print is barely visible over the base, but I’m loving the mix of colors and different finishes happening here. Make sure to leave me a comment with your thoughts though! Is there a color that you absolutely despise wearing on your nails? Let me know!
