Hello again guys! How has life been since I left you?..yes, it’s only been an hour since my last post. It’s fine. Lots of things can change in an hour! But, moving on! Christmas has passed, but I’m still working to finish up the 12 Days of Christmas (hosted by the Challenge Your Nail Art group.) This look isn’t too overly festive, so it could easily be recreated throughout the upcoming winter months. Anyways, enough rambling. Let’s get to the penguins!
Here is what I used:
Look at how stinking cute those little birdies are! I just want to pinch their little, sparkly cheeks (hashtag grandma status.) This illustration by Magrikie was the inspiration for these nails. I loved how adorable the round penguin looked in the drawing, so I knew that I needed to recreate it. My guys (ladies?) are wearing little bows, but they look just as cute as the original!
- Start by applying three coats of Ellie.
- Then, add a layer of Wooder Ice on top.
- Once the base is dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the penguins.
- Dab a little bit of Pink Anemonemone on for the cheeks.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
So, what do you guys think? I was totally in love with this look and ended up wearing it for a few days (which rarely happens. Random note, I’m going on day two of only wearing a plain polish on my nails and it’s such a weird feeling! Mind you, it is Poison Rose from Tonic Nail Polish, so it’s far from boring. But, yeah. Not having any nail art is odd.) So…moving on! Make sure to leave me a comment letting me know what you guys think of this look!
Thank you guys so much for reading! Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for some more nail art and shenanigans!
