Hello lovelies!

Gah, it’s Wednesday! When/how did that happen? Whoops. On Monday, I posted my review of Parallax Polish’s Brain Scan collection and now it’s time for some nail art.

So, onto the nails!

It looks so intense contrasted against the black art.  This design is a recreation of this pattern by Poppy Seed Fabrics.

purple, ikat, pattern, hippocampus, nails, nail art, nail polish, indie, indie polish, indie nail polish, polish those nails, parallax polishIt’s been so long since I’ve done an ikat design! The idea to do these came from this set of pillows from Ada & Darcy. I do want to point out that this polish is highly pigmented, and you can see how it discolored the white paint. Make sure to put a layer of topcoat between the polish and paint to avoid this.

2. When that is dry, use a detail brush and white paint to add on the basic it shapes.

3. Go back over the white using the other colors of your choosing to create the pattern.

4. Clean up.

5. Add a layer of Glossy Glam.
