Good morning lovelies! Happy Wednesday! I can’t believe the week is already halfway over, but I guess that’s what happens when you work a three day week…whoops haha. Anyways! I’m back today with some more paper inspired nail art. So, let’s get to the polish!
Here is what I used:
If you can remember back to my first post for this month’s Digit-al Dozen theme, I discussed using scrapbooking paper as inspiration. So, it should come as no surprise that this is another look inspired by scrapbooking paper from Michael’s. More specifically, this design from their Recollections line! I may or may not have gone through this entire collection and pinned a bunch of different things to my pattern board on Pinterest….so this probably won’t be the last time you see scrapbooking nails on the blog haha.
- Start by applying two coats of My Vampire Is Buff.
- Then using the watercolor method, add on Boom Boom, Wednesday, Darcy and Arizona.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the spots.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
It has been so long since I’ve used the watercolor technique, and I’m kind of upset at myself for not using it more often haha. It used to be my favorite thing to do when I first started blogging! These colors didn’t blend together very smoothly, but I’m still loving how they look. I actually loved this design so much that I ended up wearing this manicure for about a week (which, as we all know, is literally forever in the blogging world.) But, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts! Also, what’s your favorite technique for creating interesting, nail art bases?
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Make sure to check back later for some more nail art!
