Hello everyone!!
I hope everyone’s day is going well! Posting on a Tuesday is weird for me, but today is my first time taking part in the Tri-Polish Challenge started by Debbie from The Crumpet!
I’ll explain more below, but look at the nails!

Trippy clouds, right?! Haha

For anyone who doesn’t know what the Tri-Polish Challenge is, every month 3 colors are assigned. For those 3 colors, you have to pick 1 polish to represent each color and you’re only allowed to use those (plus black, white, gold, silver, and a glitter topper if you choose). You then create 4 manicures with at least 2 of the 3 mandatory colors and at least 1 manicure has to use all 3 colors. All posts are put up the Tuesday and Thursday of the 3rd and 4th weeks of the month.
Okay, that was a lot of talking, sorry! (acceptable ranting, I might add!)
Here’s the colors I chose!
The colors this month are lilac, pink, and blue. I’m aware that my lilac is called Lavender but I don’t think it’s a lavender color at all so don’t mind the name haha.

These were really easy! I just painted my nails with my lilac, and then using my dotting tool made clouds shapes with the pink and the blue! I then added a matte topcoat!
Funny story, the pink that I chose for this challenge is actually my ONLY pink nail polish! I have had a strong distaste for the color pink for as long as I can remember, but I’m trying to get over it for the blogs sake. But don’t expect to see many more pink nails on here haha!

I wanted to start off simple as this is my first time being in any challenge. They remind me of some trippy colored clouds that you would see in a movie or something. I really liked how these looked and will probably do them again!
Also, I’m aware that the color balance is still off in these photos, but I’m currently trying to find a better light bulb for my light box. Until then, I will try to make the nail polish as color accurate as possible without discoloring my skin too much.
Wow, ranting, sorry!
What do you think of these nails? Would you wear a trippy cloud manicure? Let me know!

Fun Fact: Hayley Williams is my favorite singer, SWOON! (:

Until next time!

(I think I did the inlinkz thing below right? Maybe, someone let me know if it’s wonky!)

Hello lovelies!
We’re back for another week! I can’t actually complain too much about it being Monday considering that I didn’t get homework in two of my classes for over the weekend! And I had time to watch Jurassic Park: The Lost World! Score! But ehh, Mondays are still pretty lame.
But, keep reading for some pretty nails!
Nails, Nail Art, Nail Polish, Polka Dots, Dots, Hey Darling Polish

Not something you’d expect to see from me right? Haha, I had a wedding to go to a few weeks ago and had to wear “wedding appropriate” nails, whatever that means 😛

I strongly dislike who ever came up with this idea of “wedding appropriate.” I’m not saying that I didn’t like these nails but they just were not something that I would normally choose to wear. They seemed kind of plain to me and the colors all kind of just blended together, and were hard to photograph. Meh.

Here’s what I used:

I think I’m getting closer to finding the right nude for me, but unfortunately Love & Beauty’s: Cream is a little too yellow for me. Ugh. Haha.

Regardless of my feelings on “wedding appropriate”, I had a great time at the wedding and you can’t go wrong with a simple dotticure, right?
What do you think of these nails? What would you do for a wedding appropriate manicure?

Stay tuned for a fun week! Have a great day!

Hello!
Here’s this week’s recap!
Today marks 1 month of blogging for me! WOO!
This first month has been fantastic and I’m really excited for everything that is coming up for the blog and you guys! I know it’s only been a month but I can already see my nail painting skills improving! Having this blog has made be way more dedicated to practicing my nail art skills and pushing me to try new things. I can’t wait to see how month 2 plays out! (:
Anyways, this past week was filled with a bunch of different fun manicures including a new technique to me. Making nail decals will definitely be something that I play around with more!
Also, this upcoming week will be my first time participating in The Crumpets’ Tri-Polish Challenge! Gah, exciting! Look out for those posts! And don’t forget that next week starts the 33 Day Challenge. There’s still time to join if you’re interested! (;
I’m ranting again….sorry 😛

Have a great day!

Hello everyone!
It’s Friday! This makes me soo happy! Even though my weekend will probably be filled with homework, I’m just happy for a chance to sleep haha! This week has been so stressful! I’ve spent at least 15+ hours this week on one project alone! But luckily, it’s done! Gah!
Anyways, on to the nails!
Nails, Nail Art, New York Color French White Tip, Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, Sinful Colors Black On Black, Glequins, Tape Manicure
I might enjoy wearing jeans and a crew neck sweater all the time, but my nails can be classy! (:

I wanted to practice my tape placing skills and my glequin placement (which got lots of practice last week haha). My tape skills need a bit of improvement but I’m happy with what I did. I could picture myself wearing these to a gallery opening or an art show (that’s what art kids do for fun haha)!
Here’s the polishes I used:
My only problem with these nails is the colors I picked. I like the black tips and I like the black and the white together, but I think the white is just too stark for my skin. It’s so bright and looks weird. I don’t normally wear plain white nails for this reason. I’m also not a fan of the green accent nail. Maybe I should have done all my nails the green. I don’t know, these just aren’t doing it for me visually.

Regardless of what I think of the colors, I’ll definitely try these again. Next time I have an event that I need to dress nicely for, this will probably be my go to design!
What do you think of these nails? Do these seem classy to you? Thoughts on the colors?

I just discovered this band but they’re from my hometown! How cool!

P.S.- Do any of my followers mix their own nail polishes? Like indie glitters? Let me know!

Hello everyone!
I’m back again! No class today but I’ve got club meetings and work study work to do. Pulled my first all-nighter (Monday night) of the semester already this year. Only 3 weeks and I stayed awake for 38+ hours. Ugh, at least the 11 straight hours of sleep last night was amazing! Haha blah.
On to the nails!
Nail Art, Dots, Polka Dot Nails, Sinful Colors Hazard, Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau, Nail Dots, Dotticure
Cute, right? These were so easy to do but I love them!
More after the jump:

All I used to do these nails was a dotting tool! I found mine on eBay, this is similar. It has two different side balls on the ends. I used both sides to make the different sized dots! I’ve actually recently just ordered a new set of tools so that I can have a variety of sizes. I can’t wait for those to come in! I bought them: here.
Here are the polishes I used:
Color Club’s Take Me To Your Chateau has to be one of my favorite pastel blues ever and I love that it only takes 2 coats unlike some other pastel blues. You’ll probably see it more on the blog soon!

I really loved these nails. They were simple, cute, and really easy to do. Sinful Colors Hazard isn’t normally a color I would wear, but paired with Take Me To Your Chateau I think it looks great!
What do you think of these nails? Do you like dotticures? Tell me what you think!

I miss this band so much ):
Have a great day!
