Good evening lovelies! I hope you guys have been having a wonderful Sunday so far. I’ve been trying to clean my apartment and get myself organized when it comes to blogging. But yeah, I’m getting there haha. I’m still a day behind with the challenge and this post is going up later than I wanted, but don’t lose faith! Anyways! The second day of the challenge calls for orange nails, so let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
Abstract nail art is seriously going to be such a lifesaver during this challenge haha. During my little hiatus, I wasn’t doing any nail art and my free hand skills are feeling a bit rusty at the moment. So, when I came across this pattern (by Sarah Bagshaw,) I knew that it would be perfect for today!
- Start by applying two coats of Fiery Calm.
- Then add a layer of Fairy Dust over top.
- Once that’s dry, use the fluffy brush to randomly dab on the acrylic paint (start with the black and follow it with the orange.)
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
And, that’s a wrap! Teal and orange is not a combination that immediately comes to mind, but man, I’m digging this! The iridescent glitters in Fiery Calm really help to tie the two colors together, and keep them from being too jarring. Also, the added sparkle from Fairy Dust adds another level of interest. But, as always, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts! Is this a color combination that you would rock? Let me know!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! I’m going to hold off on posting my yellow nails until tomorrow (because yeah know, it’s almost 11 at night and I’m *old*,) so make sure to check back for those!
