I’m back with my final post for you today! I bet you’re all super relieved haha. With this post, I’ll be all caught up with the OMD3 challenge. Yay!
Onto the nails!
This is another look that took a few hours to paint on both hands. I guess I can’t really complain, because I’m making great progress watching Criminal Minds on Netflix but a girl has to sleep for at least a few hours a night….Or maybe closer to seven hours, but you know, four is close enough. Whoops.
2. Then using the black acrylic paint and striping brush, paint on some wavy lines. These can be randomly place, but try and keep them vertical.
3. Go back into the gaps that the vertical lines created with the detail brush, and paint in tiny lines to create tiny shapes.
4. Clean up.
5. Add a layer of Glossy Glam.
Now, I bet you’re all thinking, “Marisa, the title of this post says wings but you just painted a ton of teeny, tiny lines on your nails. Are the polish fumes starting to get to your head or are you losing it?” The answer is yeah, probably, to both. But I was inspired by dragonfly wings for these. I saw these patterns by Belma Kapetanovic and thought that Nereids would create a great shimmery base, so that’s what I painted. They were time consuming, but lovely to wear!
