Hello lovelies!

It’s Friday! Woo! I’m going home this weekend, which I wasn’t exactly planning on doing….blah, but I bought myself a bath bomb from Lush because my Mom has a tub. Yeah! This is my life!

Anywho, onto the nails!

brown-retro-flame-pattern-nail-art-bottle-shotYou know, in my almost two years of blogging (how has it seriously been that long?!) I’ve never actually painted fire nails. I feel like I used to see flame manicures all time when I started blogging, but not so much anymore. Random thought, but I figured I’d share. These nails were inspired by this retro pattern that I think originated from here?

2. Then using a detail brush and blue acrylic paint, paint on the base of your pattern.

3. Go back over your pattern with dark orange paint, making sure that the shapes are a bit smaller than the blue.

4. Once that’s dry go back over the dark orange with a light orange, once again making sure that the shapes are smaller.

5. Clean up.

6. Add a layer of Glossy Glam.

The pattern reminded me of graphic, simplified flames and this surprisingly fairly easy to paint. I would definitely try this pattern again in some different color combinations in the future!
