Happy New Year lovelies! Wow, it’s been a while. My blogging break ended up being a little longer than I initially anticipated, but I’m back! A lot has been going on over the past couple of months, some of it being good and some of it being not so good. But, I’m trying to put all of that behind me (almost like one of those resolution things that people make around the beginning of the new year, but like not really because I’m not super into those. You know what I mean?) Anyways, accepting this new mindset coincided with me getting my mojo back for nail polish, which means that I’m jumping back into the blogging game! I’m excited to start sharing nail art with you all again. But, I’m rambling right now (as usual) so let’s get to these New Years nails already!
Here is what I used:
Usually when I do my New Years manicures, they’re so blindingly sparkly that you can’t actually see what’s going on. But, I thought we’d try something a little different this time around! There’s still a little sparkle happening, but there’s also a bold design to help balance out the shininess. These squiggly lines have become one of my go-to looks, and I loved how they looked with the gold flakes.
- Start by applying two coats of Silver Dollar.
- Add a layer of Alicia.
- Then apply a coat of Twilight Twinkles.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the squiggles.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glitter Glaze.
And, my first post of 2018 is a wrap! I think I’m a bit rusty with the actual writing part, but hopefully I’ll be able to get back into the swing of it soon. Anyways, make sure to let me know what you guys think of this look! Also, what are you wearing on your nails for the new year?
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! I’m so excited to be blogging again (I actually mean it this time,) and can’t wait to see what this year holds for the blog. Happy New Year to you all! Let’s make it a great one!
