I have another post for you all today! I’m putting my Indie Fridays post on hold for this week to show you guys a new to me indie brand.
So, I’ll be showing you guys polishes from Kitty Polish! Kitty Polish has some awesome polishes and I have 4 to show you guys. I decided to split the polishes up into groups of 2, so today you’ll be seeing Heart Of The Ocean and 24!
*All swatches are shown with 1 coat of HK Girl Fast Drying Topcoat.
Onto the nails!
First up is 24!
24 is a golden, glitter polish that reaches opacity in 3 coats. This polish applies fairly sheer but the micro-glitters allow the polish to be opaque. Even though it’s sheer, the formula seems a bit thick but it’s still easy to work with.
This polish is really pretty! The bigger, hex glitters in it are holographic and are super shiny when they hit the light. I’m not the biggest fan of gold polish and I’m not sure how this looks with my skin tone but this is a welcome addition to my stash. I don’t own many gold polishes so this will be good as a base for nail art!
Next up is Heart Of The Ocean!
Heart Of The Ocean is a bright, royal blue polish that applies like a normal creme but has a little bit of a shimmer to it. The website has this listed as cremes so I’m going to go with that. The formula was easy to work with and only required 2 coats to reach opacity.
I’m in love with this color! These royal blue polishes are really popular this summer and I like that this one has the added shimmer to it.
I decided to do nail art with each of the polish pairings, so here’s some nail art!
I loved the gold and blue colors together and I though the contrast between the different finishes was interesting too! The design was inspired by this pattern
I started these nails with 3 coats of 24 and some topcoat. Heart Of The Ocean is a bit jelly-like on the first coat so I painted the design on first with white acrylic paint. When the acrylic paint was dry, I traced the design over with Heart Of The Ocean.
I love this nail art design a lot! This might be one of my favorite designs that I’ve showed on the blog! But getting back to the review, here are some macros of the polishes:
I was impressed by these polishes and they’re all fairly unique to my collection! Also, I really like the this brand’s bottles. I know that might sound weird but the logo looks like it’s printed directly on the bottle and I have a thing for nice packaging, so brownie points from me! All full-sized polishes retail for $8 a bottle. Here are some links:
Thanks for reading guys and remember to check back tomorrow for more Kitty Polish!
