Oh hello again! This month the Nail Challenge Collaborative group is tackling neon nails, and I’ve been slacking on getting my posts up. So, that’s what I have for you now!
Here is what I used:
Summer weather calls for neon nails, but I just haven’t really been feeling them this year. I’m usually down for anything bright (glitter is a plus,) but lately I’ve been reaching for more subdued, shimmery polishes. Maybe now that work is slowing down, I’ll get back into wearing fun colors. Meh, who knows? I do know that this design was inspired by a Sonia Delauney pattern, and I’m really loving it! This will be a fun one to use when experimenting with different color combinations!
- Start by applying two (or three) coats of On-Off Cells (previously reviewed here.)
- Then use a detail brush to paint on large blobs of Purple Panic (hashtag still not purple…) and Frostbite.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the smaller dots.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
So, what do you guys think? Have you been rocking out with your neon nails or are you taking it easy this year like me? I think living in an apartment without air conditioning is taking the enjoyment out of summer for me. My little studio gets so hot and I don’t want to remind myself of the heat with bright nails haha. Maybe? Again, I don’t know. I’m just speculating at this point. Make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts though!
Thank you guys so much for reading! I’ll have more nail art to share with you guys tomorrow, so see you then!
