Ello again! I feel like I’ve mentioned this in every single post over the past couple of months, but I hope you’re all down for a little bit of double posting this week! I’m really determined to get through my backlog of manicures, because it’s honestly stressing me out that they’re just sitting there on my computer. So, I’ll be sharing a bunch of older content in the hopes to move onto new nail art and clear my head a bit. But, for now! Let’s take a look at some neon goodness!
Here is what I used:
A couple weeks back, the Nail Crazies Unite challenge took on neon nails to celebrate Summer! I’m not a fan of warm weather, but bright nails are pretty rad so it works for me haha. I decided it would fun to pair the fun colors with an 80s inspired pattern, so that’s what I did!
- Start by applying two coats of Broca’s Area (previously reviewed here.)
- Once that’s dry, use a detail brush to paint on the pattern with white acrylic paint.
- Then go back over the paint with Light Of Lyra, On-Off Cells, Corpus Callosum and Amygdala (the last three were previously reviewed here.)
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
So, what is your favorite way to rock neons? I’m really liking how they look here over the darker holo base, but it is bumming me out a bit that Broca’s Area has apparently faded. It was a beautiful, bright blue when my original review was posted but now it’s leaning a bit teal. It’s still pretty, but if anyone has any suggestions for bright, royal blue holos let me know. Also, leave me a comment down below with your thoughts on this look!
Thank you guys so much reading! I’ll see you all back here tomorrow for some more nail art!
