polish those nails, blogger takeover

Hi guys!

It’s Friday, and we all know what that means! Blogger Takeover time! This is seriously my favorite time of each week for the blog, because I love seeing the beautiful manicures that everyone puts together. Today’s post is no exception, because Lothwen from Manis & Makeovers is sharing her nails with you all! Her blog is one of my favorites! Not only are her photos gorgeous, but her nail art is always so pretty<3 I’m going to stop talking and let you all get to the nails (:

Hello lovelies!

How wonderful to be writing here at Polish Those Nails! I’m Lothwen from Manis & Makeovers and I’m a nail polish addict 😉 Last year, Marisa helped me out with a guest post, so when she asked around for guest bloggers, I jumped at the occasion!

The problem was: what should I blog?! I had too many ideas, which resulted in not one concrete idea whatsoever. But then, the indie polish gods were benevolent and granted us a sale over at myindiepolish.com‘s etsy sister shop (which will close soon and may or may not already be closed by the time this is posted) and a few days later (wicked fast shipping, considering the ocean between us!) a pack of pretties arrived! So I selected this bright teal one from the package, which is 5-free, vegan and full of silver square holo glitters and did a dotticure!
I was inspired by Marisa’s gorgeous freehanding and decided to do a simple floral mani. I started with three coats of the pretty “Someday My Spring Will Come” and then used a purple, blue and green from Essence (“Amazed By You”, “Electriiiiic” and “A Walk In The Park”), Essie “Blanc” and a dotting tool to create this design. I started with the purple flowers, then added the blue, then the leaves and finally I dotted the hearts of the flowers with white. I topped it all off with some Seche Vite.
I was very happy with how this turned out. Somehow the colours just really remind me of Marisa’s work, and I’m such a fan of hers, so I adore this mani too, lol!
Because there were actual blueish flowers nearby, I just had to…. And then there were these with the contrasting colour, I mean, come on, I had to!
I hope you all enjoyed this manicure, I’d love to hear what you think! Thank you for having me here, Marisa, and thank you, readers, for taking the time to look at my nails! This was fun!

Thank you for posting Lothwen! Everything about these are lovely!

Remember I’m always looking for other guest posts (I’m actually running out of posts! I only have them scheduled up till the first week of October. So, maybe now is the time for you to get in contact with me (; ) shoot me an email at guestposts@polishthosenails.com or in my contact form if interested!
