Hello lovelies!

It’s the start of a new week! Which also means that it’s time for another Indie Showoff post. I wrapped up my Polish ‘M collection with my last showoff post, and decided that the next brand I’ll be featuring is Love, Angeline! This was one of the first indie brands that I ever purchased back when I started blogging in 2013 (just realized that I’ve been blogging here at Polish Those Nails for a year now and I totally missed it….whoops…) But yeah! I’ll warn you guys now that a lot of these polishes have been discontinued for a while now, but blog sales are life savers. So, onto the polish!

Name: Wham!

Topcoat: One coat of Rica’s Glossy Glam.

Formula: Fairly thick but packed with glitter. Required some manipulating with the brush.

Dry Time: This dries pretty slowly. It was still dent able after twenty minutes.

Staining: None.

Wear Time: n/a (only worn long enough to swatch.)

Wham! was one of the polishes I bought in my very first Love, Angeline order! Now, I did have some problems with the formula of this one. I think the base has started evaporating and even after a bunch of thinner, the polish is still very thick and bubbles once applied. But, keep in mind that this polish is around three years old. The glitter mix is really fun and this would work really well in some 80s inspired nail art, so I’ll be keeping this one around! (Edit: Totally forgot that I’ve swatched this polish before. The photos are a little scary, but it’s nice to see that I’ve improved my swatching!)

Name: Enchanted Forest

Number of Coats: One dabbed (Over two coats of Zoya’s Lillian.)

Topcoat: One coat of Rica’s Glossy Glam.

Formula: This polish is heavy on the base and requires some fishing for the glitter.

Dry Time: Slightly dent able after ten minutes.

Staining: None.

Wear Time: n/a (only worn long enough to swatch.)

I didn’t think Enchanted Forest was as old as Wham! but it looks like they were both released back in 2013. There must have been a formula change between the two collections because this polish is nowhere near as thick as Wham! Anyways, I really enjoy the colors of this glitter mix! There was a little fishing required to get the glitters, but overall this was pretty easy to work with and I’m not really sure why I don’t reach for it more.

Now, let’s get to the nail art!

I mentioned earlier that Wham! would work perfectly in some 80s inspired nail art, so I decided to add some geometric nail art over the top. I love how bold the entire look is!

  1. Start by applying three coats of Pippa.
  2. Dab on a coat of Wham!
  3. Add a layer of Glossy Glam.
  4. Paint on the triangles using acrylic paint and a detail brush.
  5. Clean up.
  6. Finish with another layer of Glossy Glam.

Last up is the nail art done with Enchanted Forest. I took inspiration from the polish name and painted a forest on my nails! Probably not my best or most creative look, but they still turned out pretty neat.

Now, like I mentioned in the beginning of the post, both of these polishes have been discontinued. Yeah, I know I’m a jerk guys. You can always check out blog/destash sales if either of these catches your eye, or if you own one of these I hope I’ve inspired you to pull it out and use it again!
