Hello lovelies! How has your Monday been treating you? I had today off from work, so I was able to get a ton of blogging stuff done and I’m so excited to share everything with you in the upcoming weeks. For example, this post marks the re-launch of my Indie Showoff series! I can’t believe that I haven’t done one of these posts since August…damn. If you’re new to the blog, this series is basically me just going through my indie collection and posting mini reviews for different brands that I have purchased from. This helps me create a visual guide of all the indies that I own, and I get to share beautiful polishes with you guys! In the last post, I was working my way through my Love, Angeline collection. Sadly, she recently closed her shop so none of these polishes are available for purchase but hopefully you can still enjoy the swatches. Let’s get to it ( side note: I’ll try to keep the rest of this short since this introduction is massive!)

tea'lite, white, glitter crelly, nails, nail polish, indie polish, love angeline, polish those nails, swatch

Number of Coats: Three coats.

Topcoat: One coat of Rica’s Glossy Glam.

Formula: Very glitter heavy, so the glitter needs to be manipulated to avoid clumping.

Staining: None.

Wear Time: N/A (only worn long enough to swatch.)

My thoughts: This is one of the first indie polishes that I ever purchased, so this one holds a special place in my heart (ew, so corny.) But while I absolutely love the idea of this polish, unfortunately the formula is lacking. Time has not been nice to this polish and now it is so hard to apply. I remember that I used to struggle a bit with this one, but now it’s almost impossible to not have it look lumpy even with topcoat. I’m actually kind of bummed writing this review right now haha.

My thoughts: This is another polish that I purchased way back in the beginning of the blog. Deep Magic has definitely held up better than Tea’Lite though. The formula of this is very base heavy, so fishing for glitter is required but sponging it on would make things easier. I like the mix of sizes here and think this is a nice polish for when you want to add a little splash of blue to a manicure!

Now, onto the nail art!

My favorite way of saving a failing manicure is to add florals on top, so that’s exactly what I did here! This particular design was inspired by this set of prints from Minna May. I love the contrast of the black against the softer base.

  1. Start by applying three coats of Tea’Lite.
  2. Add a layer of Glossy Glam to smooth the polish.
  3. Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the pattern.
  4. Clean up.
  5. Finish with another coat of Glossy Glam.

Oh, I’m loving how bold this manicure is! This pattern was inspired by this pattern by Susy Pilgrim Walters.

Now, like I mentioned earlier neither of these polishes are currently for sale but you can always check out destash pages. Love, Angeline is no longer but selling polish, but I believe she is still selling Lularoe? So, I’ll still link you to her accounts if you’re interested in that:
