Ello lovelies! It’s Monday. Yay? Maybe. Is anyone ever happy on a Monday? Anyways, I’m here today to share some more Love, Angeline swatches with you guys! This will actually be the second to last post for this brand, which means that I need to get around to picking out the next one. I’ll probably end up posting a poll on my Instagram (@polishthosenail,) so make sure you’re following me there if you want a say in what brand you see next. Anyways, let’s get to today’s nails!

Name: Love Abides

Description: Bright purple (that can lean blue in some lights) with flakies and small glitters.

Release Information: Unsure

Number of Coats: Three coats.

Topcoat: One coat of Rica’s Glossy Glam.

Formula: Applies more like a jelly, so sheer on the first coat but it builds up nicely. Careful with the flakies though, because these are the kind that will stick up weird on your nail.

Dry Time: About ten minutes for each layer.

Staining: None.

Wear Time: N/A (only worn long enough to swatch.)

My thoughts: My camera seriously hates these kinds of colors. Jerk. This polish isn’t as blue as it’s pulling in these photos, but I still like it! The only thing that I’m not totally sold on is the flakies. They look really neat, but I think they’re the mylar ones so they have a tendency to stick up off your nail. It’s nothing a little manipulating can’t fix though.

My thoughts: I wish this polish wasn’t so sheer, because this could have been my favorite matte polish ever! Like seriously ever. Each coat applied so easily and the finish is so incredibly smooth, but I can’t get pass seeing my nail line (the bald spot on my ring finger was from user error.) I’ll have to try layering this over some different bases, because I love the color of this.

Can you guys guess what inspired this nail art? Probably not, because I literally used a photo of cabbage (by Phil Gates) as inspiration. Yes. You read that. Cabbage inspired nail art that doesn’t even look like cabbage. This week is starting off weird already haha.

Now, for some nail art that makes more sense haha. The polish is named after water, so that’s what I painted! This abstract design was inspired by this print created by Hello Nobo.
