Hello again lovelies! I’m squeezing another post in at a completely bizarre time, but might as well post since I’m awake. Definitely going to regret staying up this late in the morning though….anyways! I’m up to the letter “Y” of the ABC Challenge! Gah, so close to the finish line haha. But, before we reach the end let’s take a minute to appreciate some yume yellow!
Here is what I used:
These photos look pretty bad, so sorry about that. But, let’s focus on the nail art! I knew for this letter that I had to pull out one of my polishes from Yume Lacquer. Mainly because it’s the only brand I own that starts with the letter “Y,” but you know. Which up until right now, I didn’t think the brand was active anymore but according to their Facebook, I’m wrong. It always sucks when an indie goes out of business, so I’m glad to see that Yume is still around!
- Start by applying two (or three coats) of Turbulent Space (press sample – previously reviewed here.)
- While the last coat of polish is drying, place the studs on your nails.
- Add the polka dots of On-Off Cells (press sample – previously reviewed here.)
- Clean up (carefully because that blue is a stainer!)
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
So, what do you guys think of the nail art? It’s a relatively simple look, but it’s bold and packs a punch! I love how the neon yellow contrasts against the darker base. The only thing I don’t love is how badly my topcoat bubbled D: Why do you have to do me dirty, Glossy Glam?! Can’t we just be friends already? Anyways, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so much for reading!
