Happy Wednesday lovelies! Today means that we are halfway through the week, woo! My goal is to get a ton of blogging stuff done this weekend, so I’m ready for it to get here already. We still have to make it through a few more days, so until then, let’s look at some nail art. Today’s nails are all about jewels, so onto the polish!
Here’s what I used:
Not only did I get to knock out two untried polishes with this look, but I also picked out two that haven’t been cabochoned yet! And yes, I totally just made up my own verb. Cabochoning 2017, it’s happening. Be on the look out. Can we all take a guess at who might be a little overtired? Anywho, this pattern is actually a recreation of this look that I did back in 2014 (the original print was designed by Andrea Lauren.)
- Start by applying two coats of Huckleberry Sparkle.
- Then using a ripped piece of makeup sponge, dab on Butterfly Nebula and Polish Con 2016.
- Once the base is dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the jewels.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
I am absolutely in love with how these turned out, and there is a 99.9% chance that this is still on my nails right now haha. The base polishes mixed so well together, and all of the sparkle is seriously giving me life. Also, still don’t really know what that means, it’s fine. But, my favorite part of this design is seeing the improvement from the 2014 manicure to this version. The designs aren’t exactly the same, but the overall look here is so much more appealing than the older version. These lines look rougher, but I still like this updated manicure better. Make sure to let me know what you guys think down below! I’d love to hear which look you prefer better too? 2014 versus 2017! Let’s go!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Make sure to check back tomorrow for more nail art!
