Good evening lovelies! Does anyone else feel like this week is dragging already? It’s only Tuesday, but man, it seriously feels like a Thursday. I’ve been trying to get myself back into the habit of going to the gym in the morning before work and it is rough guys. The days feel so long when you wake up at five am. But moving on! You guys are here for nails, and this week the Twinsie Tuesday group is tackling toy inspired nail art. So, let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
Were you guys able to guess what my toy was? Probably not because I didn’t actually pick a toy, but instead I used my new Fidget Cube as my inspiration! It’s basically a cube that has different sides that you can play with if you get anxious. I’ve only had mine for a few days, so I can’t really say if it’s super helpful or not. But, I’m constantly messing around with my clothes or hair whenever I’m put into an uncomfortable social situation (which is pretty much all the time at work, because you know, people.) So, I’m hoping that this will help ease some of that!
- Start by applying two coats of Lunar Lust.
- Then using the dry brush technique, add on a little bit of Dusty Diamond.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the details.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Tonic Topper.
These nails only showcase some of the sides of the cube, but I think it made a fairly interesting nail art design. It’s a little bizarre if you don’t know what the inspiration looks like, but I’m kind of digging this look (minus the shaky lines.) I do know that I fell in love with the base for these! Lunar Lust is stunning, and I can’t believe I waited so long to use it. But, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts and let me know if you’ve ever heard of a Fidget Cube!
Here’s a bonus photo with my fidget cube!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! I’ll see you guys back here tomorrow for some more nail art!
