Good evening lovelies! How has your Monday been? Mine was going alright, until I forgot to bring my headphones to the gym and got to listen to Christmas music while working out. It was definitely karma slapping me in the face for slacking on going over the past couple of months haha. Holiday music just does not make using the elliptical entertaining or enjoyable…maybe that’s a little unfair because I’m pretty sure that thing could never be fun. But! Moving on. I’m back with another holiday card inspired manicure and this one is all about tree branches! Yep, you read that right. Tree branches.
Here is what I used:
I mentioned in my last post for The Nail Challenge Collaborative that I was going to do all my manicures for this month based off of holiday cards. So, my second look was inspired by this set from Kate Spade. These aren’t screaming Christmas at your face, but the gold adds a nice festive touch!
- Start with three coats of Harley.
- Then using the dry brush technique, add on a little bit of Wanderlusting.
- Once the base is dry, go back in with acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the branches.
- Use a dotting tool and Love.Angel.Music.Baby for the gold dots.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
So, what do you guys think? I am really happy with how these turned out! Painting nature-y “things” on my nails is one of my favorite things to do, so the tree branches on the cards were right up my alley. Also, I usually prefer subtle holiday inspired nail art so yeah, these were perfect for me. Make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Check back later for some more nail art!
