Good evening lovelies! Man, it is late again. This is what happens when you get home from work and lay in bed on your phone for three hours…whoops. Anywho! It’s the last day of May and I still need to squeeze one more look in for this month’s Nail Challenge Collaborative theme. So, let’s get to the green!
Here is what I used:
May is usually when the green plants start to pop up which signifies that Spring is really here. But, this look is so far away from Springtime nail art haha. All this rain we’re having is really messing with my mood lately, and all I want to wear is dark colors. These two polishes just happened to be sitting on my desk at the time and I figured it was their time to shine! The print for this look was inspired by one of the designs in this Zentangle sampler by Carolion.
- Start by applying two coats of You’ll Move Mountains.
- Then using saran wrap, dab on a little bit of Promise Of Spring.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the pattern.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
So, what do you guys think? This look doesn’t scream Spring, but I’m still into how it turned out! You’ll Move Mountains is easily one of the most gorgeous shades of green and Promise Of Spring paired so well with it. If I could do this manicure again, I would have painted the nail art in white. The monochromatic palette works for this challenge, but the print would have popped more in a contrasting color. Oh well! Make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts though! I’d love to know what you think.
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Make sure to check out the other ladies down below and go give them a visit!
