Good morning lovelies! Did you guys all remember to “Spring Ahead” and set your clocks an hour earlier? I was actually still awake when it happened and it made me so sad to actually see us lose an hour. Not cool, man, not cool. Anyways, you guys are probably here for the nails. So! Let’s get to the gold!
Here is what I used:
I’m seriously so close to being caught up with all of my challenges, and I’m so excited about it! I have had a constant backlog of things to share on the blog for a while now. But, I’m actually starting to get ahead and it’s a wonderful feeling. This gold look for the 30 Days Of Colour challenge is one of the last “overdue” things that I have to post! Side note: I know being late to challenge posts isn’t a big deal, but it bothers me so feel free to ignore all of my rambling about it haha. Anyways! This floral pattern was inspired by print designed by Sarah Lee.
- Start by applying three coats of Sue.
- Then add a layer of Wondrous Star over top.
- Once that’s dry, paint on the floral pattern with acrylic paint and a detail brush.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
So, what do you guys think? You all know that florals are my thing, so this design is an automatic love for me! I’m especially loving this color combination. The mustard yellow flowers against the softer gold base made me nervous, but they actually work really well together! What are your thoughts on this color scheme? Are you a fan or does it remind you too much of the 70s?
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Don’t forget to check back later for some more nail art!
