Hello lovelies! I was planning on getting this post up so much earlier today, but yeah, that didn’t end up happening. We are only a little over a week in the challenge, but I’m starting to get a little burnt out on it. But, we’ll get through it! I really just want to be able to say that I’ve completed the 31 Day Challenge three years in a row haha. Anyways, here are my gradient nails for yesterday’s prompt.
Here’s what I used:
Micro glitter gradients are my favorite way to rock gradient nails, so that is what I painted for this theme! This time around I went for a black and gold color combination. The stripe design is inspired by this print that I unfortunately can’t find the creator of. I thought about keeping the stripes blue, but I’m really digging how the stripes disappear into the darker glitter.
- Start with one coat of Black Matte.
- Then paint liquid latex (not pictured) around all your nails.
- Sponge on a gradient using Kristi and Noelle.
- Peel off the latex and clean up.
- Use a striping brush and black acrylic paint to add on the stripes.
- Clean up again if necessary.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
I don’t have much to say about this look, other than the fact that I love how the gradient turned out! You guys know that I can’t resist a good sparkly manicure, so these were right up my alley. I mean go sneak a peek at the macro below. No worries, I’ll wait. How can you not love that sparkle?! But, I’d love to hear what you guys think (especially if you love the sparkles 😛 ) Leave me a comment down below!
Thanks so much for reading guys! Also, don’t forget to check back later for my polka dot nails. While you’re at it, take a look at what everyone else created down below!
