Hello lovelies! Wow, it’s been like two weeks since my last post. I wasn’t planning on taking that long of a break. But, the end of March is always crazy at work and some unexpected issues popped up, so the craziness was extended for a while. I haven’t had a day off in two weeks and I’m really just worn out, but I missed blogging so I’m back! Plus, it’s a Digit-al Dozen week so it was the perfect time to jump back into things. My first look is all about graphic design, so let’s get to it!
Here is what I used:
This month, the group is using nail art to share fun facts and things about ourselves. Most of what I’m going to share with you guys is stuff that you might already know, but I’m still working my way back into doing nail art after the time off so bear with me. But, back to this look! My first design (inspired by these tiles by Jason Messinger) is all about my work in graphic design. Side note: you can check out my portfolio at marisacavanaugh.com if you’d like. For these nails, I used a color scheme derived from CMYK which is a color model used when designing print materials.
- Start by applying two coats of your base polishes (Chantal previously reviewed here.)
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the stripes.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam (not pictured.)
And, that’s a wrap! Hopefully my first post back hasn’t been too ramble-y. I’m feeling a little rusty with all of the blogging stuff, but I’m looking forward to getting back into it. I’ve missed sharing nail art and interacting with you guys, so leave me a comment down below!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! I hope you’re ready for a week full of awesome 😀
