Good evening lovelies! It’s Wednesday, woo! This was a short week, but I’m still exhausted for some reason and can not wait to sleep in a bit this weekend. I will say that today has been fairly productive though, so that’s always a good thing. How has your day been treating you? I’m back tonight with a Twinsie Tuesday (yes, on a Wednesday) post that is all about forgotten favorites. Let’s get to the nails!
Here is what I used:
I wish I could lie to you guys and say that I’ve been good lately with watching my polish buying, but yeah, no. I’ve probably bought more new polish in the past three months than I did in all of 2016. But! That doesn’t mean that I can’t have fun shopping own stash though. The forgotten beauty that I decided to show off today is my Lucky 13 Lacquer custom, Hey, Darling! that I had created for my one year blogaversary! The pattern was inspired by this post by The Crafting Chicks.
- Start by applying two (or three) coats of Hey, Darling!
- Then using a striping brush and Iocaine Powder add on some stripes.
- *SUGGESTED STEP* Add a layer of topcoat here because all of the glitter makes a very bumpy surface to paint over.
- Once that is dry, paint on the pattern using acrylic paint and a detail brush.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glossy Glam.
I’m late in getting this post, but this was a fun theme to take part in! I haven’t worn this polish in so long, and it was nice to be able to pull it out to show it some love. The formula has gotten pretty thick but the polish in general is still fun! It kind of makes me sad, because the inspiration for this polish was all of the crazy hair colors that I’ve had over the years. I have an “adult” job now and can’t rock weird colors anymore. Meh, adulting is lame. Anyways, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading! Check back later for some more nail art!
