Guess whose back?! Me! Obviously! I’m super happy to be able to get back to blogging after a crazy month and a half break. Taking a step back from the blog definitely helped me regain my motivation for blogging and painting my nails. I was kind of hoping to come back with a bang or something, but all the new art supplies, nail polish, and lighting supplies I ordered aren’t supposed to get here until next week….so that was kind of a fail. BUT! It is time for another Digit-al Dozen week and we’re doing (or re-doing for some members) fashion inspired nails! Enough of this introduction though…
Onto the nails!
Here’s what I used:
Today’s look is actually my first “real” attempt at nail art since I took my break (aka be gentle guys haha 😛 ) But I fell in love with this dress that I found on kollabora and since I can’t buy it, I figured I’d paint the pattern on my nails! Smart, right?
- Start with two coats of My Vampire Is Buff.
- Then using a striping brush and the brown acrylic paint, add on the thin horizontal lines.
- Once those are dry, paint a base for the diamonds with the green paint and a detail brush.
- Layer Honor over the diamonds.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a layer of Glossy Glam.
These are looking a little rough in the pictures, but that’s what I get for waiting a week before taking photos (remember when I used to paint my nails every single day? Man, what I would give to be back in college with *all* that free-time…aka I was procrastinator and waited till the last minute on everything…kind of like I’m doing right now with volunteer work…whoops.) ANYWAYS! This was a fun design to wear! It’s something a little different from what I usually have on my nails, but that’s probably why I liked these so much. But I’d love to know what you guys think! Let me know down below (:
