Hello lovelies! Can you guys believe that it’s only Tuesday?! Yesterday felt like it went on forever and I woke up this morning thinking it was Wednesday or Thursday. Blah. But, that just means that there are going to be a lot more glitter manicures coming our way! Everyone’s been killing this theme so far, and I can’t wait to see what today’s posts are like. Anyways, I’m trying to keep this post on the shorter side so let’s get to the nail art!
Here is what I used:
Today’s look is brought to from the teal drawer in my helmer! I love the color teal, but I feel like I rarely wear on my nails so I figured I’d change that haha. Plus, the recent announcement that Reverie Nail Lacquer will be closing their store for good inspired me to pull out some of her polishes. I got into collecting Reveries kind of late, but I love the ones that I do own! Since they are so glitter heavy, it can be tough to find a pattern to paint over them but this photo ended working perfectly!
- Start by applying two (or three? I can’t remember) coats of Don’t Get Your Tinsel In A Tangle.
- Add a layer of Lily Pads over top.
- Once that’s dry, use acrylic paint and a detail brush to add on the white squiggles.
- Clean up.
- Finish with a coat of Glitter Glaze.
And, there’s that! This is a manicure that I just came up with as I was painting, and I wasn’t completely thrilled about it when I first finished it. But, I totally wish that I was wearing these right now! The sparkly base worked perfectly with the larger glitters, and the pattern just tied the whole thing together! I will definitely be recreating this in the future! But, make sure to leave me a comment down below with your thoughts!
Thank you guys so, so much for reading and as usual, make sure to give the ladies down below a visit! I think the more generic themes always result in some of the funnest manicures, because everyone’s ideas are just so different!
